Glo League Update: Ebimobowei eyes improved outing with Bayelsa Utd

Glo Premier League joint top scorer, Peter Ebimobowei, has told lmc-ng.org, that his priority is to help Bayelsa United finish well in the 2013/14 season.Ebimobowei explained that he is keen to see Bayelsa United finish in the top three this season in order to qualify for either the Caf Champions League or Confederation Cup in 2015.

The striker made it clear that his target for this season has never been an individual award whether in the form of the highest goalscorer or best player.

In a season, some of his peers and rivals in the race for the golden boot has set themselves targets, Ebimobowei is quite philosophical about his chances.

"About my goal target for this season, it is only God that knows best. As a man I can only propose and hope or expect it to happen and work towards achieving such a target. But our main target is to get a continental ticket and I'm ready to put in my best and help the team realise that," Ebimobowei said.

Ebimobowei has scored 10 goals after the first round of this season, a feat only equalled by Osaguona Ighodaro of Rangers International.

Last season at this stage, Ebimobowei had scored only six goals.

The striker was scouted by Bayelsa United in 2008 while featuring for Ekeremor local government area team in the Governor's Cup.
