Rangers finished off Nembe City 3-0 in their rescheduled Glo Premier League Match Day 1 fixture concluded Thursday morning at the UNEC Stadium, Enugu.
The game had commenced Wednesday but witnessed 78 minutes before heavy rain forced the remaining 12 minutes to be shifted to Thursday morning.
On Wednesday, Meshack Chukwubuikem had opened scoring for the Flying Antelopes inside the opening quarter and the hosts led by that lone strike into the break.
Nigerian international, Christian Obiozor, who came on as substitute made it two for Rangers on 58 minutes but the game was forced to a stop by the heavy downpour in the 78th minute.
After consultation, the match officials then decided to shift the concluding 12 minutes to Thursday.
On resumption on Thursday morning, Rangers came out faster from the blocks and netted a third goal through Obiozor with just a minute to regulation time.
The win takes Rangers to ninth position on seven points while Nembe City are bottom of the table with no points but have three outstanding matches. Rangers will this Sunday be guests to Dolphins at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt while Nembe City will host Bayelsa United in a Yenagoa Derby in Omoku.
